Job summary

Satellite Applications Catapult is seeking a skilled MEL Officer/Senior MEL Officer to lead monitoring and evaluation across externally funded projects. You will embed theory of change planning, develop learning reviews, and provide technical leadership within the Impact and Evaluation team.

Strong English communication and stakeholder facilitation are essential. The role reports to the Head of Impact and Evaluation and offers a hybrid working pattern with offices in Didcot/Harwell, UK, and

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. International Development; Policy Evaluation; Applied Policy Research) or equivalent track record of relevant work experience
• Experience of applying theory‑based evaluation approaches and methodologies
• Ability to lead and facilitate planning workshops and stakeholder consultation processes
• An excellent command of English with good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the M&E and benefits realisation planning, reporting, and evaluation work components of funded projects
• Provide technical leadership and conduct training to embed Theory of Change in planning
• Design, manage and deliver learning reviews and studies to identify good practice and inform planning
• Ensure lessons learned are captured and communicated to maximise impact
• Develop engagement with the I&E team and our Evaluation Framework
