Job summary
Experis is seeking an experienced Mainframe Datacom Engineer to support critical banking applications on IBM Z mainframes. You will administer Broadcom Datacom databases, perform tuning, backups, and capacity planning in a remote UK role with international collaboration across Spain and Latin America.
The ideal candidate has extensive Datacom and z/OS expertise, strong debugging and DevOps experience, and fluent Spanish is highly desirable. Contract ends 30-Nov-26 with daily rate £570–£573.
Qualifications
- Broadcom Datacom architecture, utilities, and tuning knowledge.
- Experience with Datacom backup, recovery, and reorganisation.
- Extensive IBM z/OS environment experience.
- Strong JCL/TSO/ISPF, CICS, VSAM, RACF, and batch processing know-how.
- Spanish language proficiency desirable.
- Relevant Mainframe/Datacom certifications desirable.
Responsibilities
- Administer Broadcom Datacom databases on z/OS.
- Provision, configure, monitor, and tune databases; plan capacity.
- Execute backup, recovery, reorganisation, and maintenance using Datacom utilities.
- Monitor availability and resolve performance and operational issues.
- Support incident, change, and regulatory processes.
