Better Placed is seeking a Java Software Engineer to help modernise a long-standing consumer technology platform used by millions worldwide. You will design, build and maintain backend services powering a large-scale platform and redesign a core API to improve scalability and developer experience for third-party integrations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in designing and building backend services in Java.
• Experience creating and maintaining REST APIs.
• Strong background with scalable backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud Platform in production environments.
• Experience working in Agile development teams and delivering iteratively.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable software and good testing practices.

Responsibilities
