Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking financial services client in Randburg, Gauteng to recruit an experienced IT & Systems Implementation Project Manager. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will oversee software implementations, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements, applying Agile or Waterfall methodologies and driving user adoption across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years IT and systems implementation.
• Proven track record delivering software, infrastructure, or technology projects.
• Strong IT project methodologies knowledge (Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
• Experience with IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and system integration.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Asana.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate cross-functional communication.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of IT and systems implementation projects aligned with goals.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures.
• Coordinate internal IT staff, external consultants, and software vendors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure effective communication among stakeholders, business users and technical teams.
• Oversee implementation of new systems and technologies and drive user adoption.
• Track progress and report status to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor contracts and performance for services and products.
