Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Sourcing Specialist with deep IT hardware procurement expertise. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and securing competitive pricing for servers, networking gear, workstations, and peripherals in a fully remote environment.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in procurement or sourcing, strong negotiation abilities, and a proven track record with IT vendors.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing with IT hardware specialization
Proven track record in negotiating contracts and managing IT vendor relationships
Strong understanding of IT hardware components, specs, and market pricing
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

Source and procure IT hardware including servers, desktops, laptops, networking equipment and peripherals
Identify, vet, and onboard new IT hardware suppliers
Negotiate pricing, contracts and SLAs with IT vendors
Analyze market trends and pricing for best value
Manage vendor relationships and performance
Collaborate with IT teams to define hardware requirements and specs
Process purchase orders, track orders and delivery logistics
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, security standards and budgets
