Job summary

Parker Hannifin is hiring an Indirect Buyer to support procurement objectives by managing indirect suppliers, commodities, and services. The role covers day-to-day procurement activities, including PO placement, supplier follow-up, pricing management, and invoice resolution, with emphasis on alignment to Parker-Meggitt policies.

• Understand how to manage an indirect procurement portfolio and how to analyse supplier data.
• Ability to assess supplier metrics and situations, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong relationship-building, project management, and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and apply procurement policies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned indirect supplier relationships to ensure service, cost, delivery, quality, and responsiveness targets are achieved.
• Resolve supplier and internal issues efficiently to minimise business disruption.
• Manage procurement parameters such as supplier agreements, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery frequency, and service levels.
• Ensure supplier compliance with contractual terms, policies, and flow-down requirements.
• Support annual cost reduction initiatives and contribute to PPI performance for indirect categories.
• Identify and manage supply or service continuity risks across indirect categories and implement mitigations.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier capacity, pricing trends, and service risks to inform mitigation planning.
• Manage daily indirect procurement activities including requisition reviews, PO placement, expediting, and invoice resolution.
