Job summary

AIOS in Blackburn is seeking a GPhC-registered pharmacist with Independent Prescriber annotation to join our remote-friendly contractor team. You will deliver GLP-1 prescribing with high standards for safety and quality, while maintaining detailed records and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This ongoing contractor engagement is full-time preferred, with options for part-time. Remote/WFH or hybrid onsite in Blackburn, reporting to the team lead and working with our UK Clinical Ops

Qualifications

• GPhC-registered pharmacist with IP annotation, held for at least 1 year.
• GLP-1 prescribing experience or related area.
• Clear clinical reasoning within a protocol-led service.
• Patient safety and quality are non-negotiable for you.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Proficient using EHRs and remote consultation tools.
• Willing to support evenings or weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe GLP-1 safely and evidence-based for your patient list.
• Conduct detailed consultations capturing required information.
• Monitor treatment response and side effects across your caseload.
• Escalate red flags, near misses or complex cases promptly.
• Maintain accurate clinical records; support audits.
• Contribute to governance, audits and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with customer support, operations and tech teams.
