Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with HV connections design experience to join a major DNO framework. Projects cover 33kV to 132kV, with remote working supported and a preference for candidates based in Yorkshire.

You will design and cost HV network projects, analyse issues, prepare business cases, determine the Point of Connection, and support site visits and stakeholder meetings to deliver the Production Plan.

Qualifications

  • HV design experience for 33kV–132kV networks.
  • Familiarity with Electricity Network Regulations and NERS requirements.
  • Understanding of DNO/IDNO design standards and scheme approval processes.
  • Knowledge of ENA recommendations and industry standards for network design.
  • Awareness of Grid Code requirements relating to protection settings and network protection.
  • CDM Regulations understanding and HS&E requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and cost HV network projects (33kV–132kV) such as connections, asset replacements and diversions.
  • Analyse network issues and develop robust, cost-effective solutions.
  • Assess generation connections and raise Witness Testing jobs as required.
  • Prepare concise business cases and present for authorisation within timescales.
  • Determine Point of Connection for new load and generation enquiries up to 132kV.
  • Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings to support delivery of projects.
