Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in high voltage connections to join a major DNO framework. Projects cover 33kV to 132kV, with remote working supported and a preference for candidates based in Yorkshire.

You will assess generation connections, prepare business cases, determine the Point of Connection, and support site visits and stakeholder engagement to drive project delivery.

Qualifications

• HV connections experience within 33kV–132kV for DNO/IDNO/ICP projects.
• Knowledge of ENA engineering recommendations and industry standards.
• Understanding Grid Code requirements relating to protection settings and network protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost 33kV–132kV network projects, including new connections, asset replacement and diversions.
• Analyse network issues and performance problems to improve reliability.
• Assess generation connections and raise jobs for Witness Testing per requirements.
• Prepare concise business cases and present for authorisation within timescales.
• Determine Point of Connection (POC) for load and generation inquiries on HV networks up to 132kV.
• Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings to support project delivery.
