Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with HV connections experience to join a major DNO framework. Projects span 33kV to 132kV, with remote working supported and a preference for candidates based in Yorkshire.

Role involves design and cost estimation of HV network projects, problem analysis, and preparation of business cases for authorisation within timelines, including site visits and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

• HV connections experience with DNO/IDNO/ICP is required.
• Knowledge of Electricity Network Regulations and NERS.
• Understanding of ENA engineering guidelines and grid code basics.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost 33kV-132kV network projects (new connections, asset replacement, diversions).
• Analyse network issues and develop robust, cost-effective solutions.
• Assess generation connections and raise Witness Testing jobs as needed.
• Prepare concise business cases for authorisation within timelines.
• Determine Point of Connection for load/generation enquiries on HV networks to 132kV.
• Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings to support delivery.
