Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with HV experience to join a major DNO framework. Projects cover 33kV–132kV, and remote working is supported, with a preference for candidates based in Yorkshire.

You will design and cost HV connections, analyse network issues, and prepare concise business cases for authorisation. You will determine the Point of Connection and undertake site visits to support delivery within agreed timescales.

Qualifications

• Experience designing HV connections 33kV–132kV for DNO/IDNO/ICP.
• Knowledge of Electricity Network Regulations and NERS.
• Understanding of ENA standards and Grid Code requirements.
• Awareness of HSE, CDM and safety in electrical projects.
• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost 33kV - 132kV network projects.
• Analyse network issues and develop robust solutions.
• Assess generation connections and raise Witness Testing jobs.
• Prepare concise business cases for authorisation within timescales.
• Determine the Point of Connection for new load and generation.
• Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings to support delivery.
