Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Examiner for International Advanced Level History (2016 specification). This fully remote role involves marking scripts from home, with some papers sent by post. A strong subject knowledge base and adherence to the mark scheme are essential to deliver reliable results.

The examiner will mark onscreen or via traditional methods as required, manage an agreed allocation of scripts, and meet marking milestones during the May–July period.

Qualifications

• One academic year's teaching experience within the last 8 years.
• Degree or equivalent.
• You will be a qualified teacher.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

Responsibilities

• Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to maintain standards.
• Submit samples to Team Leader at designated times.
• Ensure marking milestones are met.
• Complete all required administration as specified.
