Job summary

Pearson Plc is seeking an International Advanced Level History (New Specification) Examiner to mark candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme. Most marking will be done onscreen using ePEN, from home, with some subjects marked traditionally using paper scripts sent by post.

Examiners must have a high level of subject knowledge and the ability to apply the mark scheme. The marking period runs May–July, with training May–June, and samples submitted to the Team Leader as

• One academic year's teaching experience within the last 8 years.
• Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
• Submit samples to Team Leader at designated times.
• Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
• Complete all administration as specified.
