Qualifications

• Experience handling Group Income Protection claims.
• Demonstrate technical ability with claims assessment and decision making.
• Knowledge of Medical or Scheme Underwriting is beneficial.
• Claims decision making authority is essential.
• Working knowledge of AI capabilities and validation of outputs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, decide, settle, and communicate Group Income Protection claims end-to-end.
• Act independently within authority and service levels.
• Provide exceptional service to policyholders, clients, and intermediaries.
• Manage the claims relationship for an assigned portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with FCA/TCF and legal requirements.
• Identify and investigate potential fraudulent claims.
• Liaise with the Chief Medical Officer, underwriters and providers.
• Support claims projects and change initiatives.
• Provide claim sign-off for colleagues.
• Manage appeals within process and authority.
• Use approved AI tools to support routine tasks.
