Remote Group Health Insurance Specialist

About The Role

Team - Direct to Consumer - Health Insurance Sales, Continuation Team

Salary - £27,000 + Approx £12,000 OTB

Working Pattern - Remote and Hybrid positions: Full time, 35 hours per week. Shifts between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. 2 Saturdays per month 10am-2pm.

Hybrid – a requirement to attend the Stockport office a minimum of 8 days per calendar month. Remote Working - This role is primarily working from your home address. You will be required to attend the Stockport office once a month for pre-booked department days or essential training/performance needs. Good travel links are essential; all travel and accommodation costs are paid for by Vitality. To qualify for a remote position, you must live over 1 hour travel time from SK26NG.

Role Overview

We are looking for individuals who share our values to provide high-quality advice over the telephone to consumers considering continuing their PMI cover with Vitality. You will handle inbound calls, assess customer needs, review current medical status, and identify the best outcomes for both the customer and Vitality to retain them. You should be self-driven, target-oriented, with a proven sales background. We will support your product training and career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound calls to find out about potential customers' needs regarding their Private Medical Insurance continuation
  • Obtain detailed medical history to determine appropriate cover and underwriting terms
  • Communicate sensitive information around coverage continuation, eligibility, and premiums
  • Ensure compliance standards are met during every interaction
  • Manage daily workload to keep in touch with customers, facilitate quotes, and drive sales conversions
Essential Skills
  • Proven sales experience exceeding targets (minimum 12 months)
  • Experience selling Private Medical Insurance or similar products, with understanding of underwriting
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, intermediaries, and group secretaries
  • Professional, tailored communication skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Self-motivation and knowledge of product updates
  • Computer literacy for navigating multiple systems
