Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a GIS Analyst to deliver expert geospatial support and consultancy. The role involves maintaining and improving geospatial products, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring high service quality.

You will travel to NEC locations across the UK as required and may perform on-site installations and consultancy tasks. The ideal candidate has a geospatial degree and hands-on experience with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and a customer-facing background.

Qualifications

• Background in Geospatial or related discipline at degree level.
• Experience in supporting multiple products for customers.
• Experience in a service desk environment with global customers.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Define service and support best practices.
• GIS consultancy on customer databases on-site and in the cloud.
• Handle database administration tasks including backups and recovery.
• Create documentation and deliver trainings for customers and internal teams.
• Contribute to data analysis and scenario modelling for emergency services.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve complex enquiries.
