Job summary

NatureSpace Partnership is seeking a GIS Officer to join a dispersed national team. The role focuses on managing and maintaining core geospatial data, ensuring data quality, and supporting data-driven conservation initiatives.

You will work within the Data Team, collaborating with statisticians and other specialists, and have opportunities to broaden experience in related GIS areas across the UK.

Qualifications

• This role requires a degree in GIS or a related field or demonstrable work experience.
• You will work with GIS software (QGIS/ArcGIS) and geospatial datasets to manage data lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail and data quality are essential for this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support operational GIS needs across the company.
• Maintain datasets in tabular and spatial formats with documentation.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure data procedures are followed.
• Enable data exchange with partners and local record centres.
• Provide first-line GIS support to colleagues.
• Assist with streamlining GIS workflows and automation.
