Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is recruiting for a senior network engineer to own a global enterprise network. The role is predominantly remote with occasional visits to an East London data center, and you’ll act as the technical authority, designing, delivering and supporting secure networking across cloud and on-premises environments.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, tackle complex routing, switching, firewall and security challenges (BGP/OSPF, IPSec, Linux), and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure

Qualifications

• Strong Cisco background and solid routing & switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP)
• Hands-on firewall experience — Palo Alto, Fortinet and/or Linux
• Comfortable in Linux environments, with some automation (Ansible/Python/bash)
• A genuine all-rounder and strong communicator who can mentor and engage stakeholders
• Within about an hour of East London for the occasional DC visit
