Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is assisting a leading Sussex-based firm seeking a Contentious Trusts & Probate Senior Associate/Partner. The role is remote-first, with strategic Brighton office visits; you’ll oversee a small experienced team, drive high-value disputes, and shape the practice’s growth.

You will lead remotely with occasional Brighton attendance, mentoring lawyers, managing complex matters, and developing client relationships. Partnership is a realistic prospect for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE in trusts, probate and estate disputes.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Commercially aware with client-facing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small contentious trusts team with remote leadership.
• Manage high-value will challenges and trust disputes.
• Develop client relationships and grow the practice’s profile.
