Job summary

Pixaera is seeking an infrastructure engineer to own production systems end to end, automating and scaling across AWS, CI/CD, monitoring and security. This remote-first team builds an engineering presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Amman, with UK collaboration from Manchester.

You will own reliability by defining SLOs, incident response, and runbooks; design reusable CI/CD workflows; scale heavy workloads; optimize cloud spend; and contribute to security reviews in a fast-paced, async

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in DevOps, platform, SRE or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on AWS — built and operated real production infrastructure.
• Terraform in earnest: modules, state, code review, recovery from a bad apply.
• Kubernetes in production — diagnose pods, ingress, and rollouts with confidence.
• CI/CD ownership, ideally GitHub Actions.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash to automate recurring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack infrastructure: cloud, CI/CD, monitoring, security, and developer experience.
• Own reliability: define SLOs, incident response, and runbooks; make on-call sustainable.
• Design reusable CI/CD workflows and manage self-hosted runners and images.
• Scale compute-heavy workloads and take designs from paper to production.
• Develop cloud cost strategy with tagging, right-sizing, and spend visibility.
• Drive security and compliance through secrets, least privilege, and patching.
