Job summary

PMR, a rapidly growing property management firm, seeks a motivated Fire Safety Advisor to deliver Health, Safety and Fire Safety guidance across a broad customer portfolio. The role involves conducting risk assessments and Fire Door inspections, with home-based work and travel to the South East region.

You will report to the Head of Fire Safety and collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and technical standards.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ equivalent.
• Fire Risk Assessment qualification level 4+ or above.
• Fire Door Inspection Qualification.
• IOSH Technical Member or working towards.
• IFE/IFSM Member is required.
• NFRAR membership required.
• Passive Fire Protection Qualification (Desirable).
• Fire Engineering qualification (beneficial).
• Previous experience in a Health and Safety Advisory Role (beneficial).
• Previous experience in a Fire Safety Role (beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular site Fire Risk Assessments and Health and Safety Assessments.
• Carry out Fire Door Inspections to buildings over 11 meters in height.
• Ensure buildings conform to the latest Fire Related building regulations and technical standards.
• Provide health and safety advice to associates within the organisation.
• Plan required remediation works with various departments to ensure work is completed to standard by contractors.
• Provide practical, methodical solutions to Health, Safety and Fire Safety issues.
• Provide advice in Building Regulations Approval on Fire Related matters.
