Principal People are recruiting for a Fire Risk Assessor to join a specialist consultancy delivering Fire and Health & Safety risk assessments across the property-management sector in London and the South East. The role is home-based with travel to client sites, typically around 15 assessments per month, and a three-week target from site visit to report issue.

• Must have practical experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments.
• Level 3 qualification required.

• Manage allocated portfolio from initial booking to report completion.
• Undertake Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments.
• Undertake Type 3 Fire Risk Assessments where competence allows.
• Conduct General Health & Safety risk assessments.
• Assess landlord compliance in residential and commercial properties.
• Liaise with clients to arrange assessments.
• Produce detailed written reports and recommendations.
• Provide professional Fire and Health & Safety advice.
• Explain findings to duty holders and responsible persons.
• Maintain CPD and professional competence.
