Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to lead the reporting, governance and control activities within our Financial Business Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll work with senior stakeholders, drive standardisation, and ensure compliance with accounting standards while enabling business transformation across Land & Aviation.

The role is fully remote, 37 hours per week, with quarterly travel to Devonport, Plymouth.

Qualifications

• Leading and developing finance teams.
• Extensive statutory accounts preparation experience.
• Experience reviewing and improving finance processes and controls.
• Advanced technical accounting ability to explain complex concepts.
• Experience with SAP, Navision, IFS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a motivated finance team.
• Oversee transition of finance activities as the function evolves.
• Drive standardisation and improvement of finance policies and controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and governance.
• Prepare statutory accounts and tax deliverables for Land & Aviation entities.
