Job summary

Tether Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee accounting operations across a multi-entity platform in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

You will ensure timely IFRS and US GAAP reporting, manage month‑end closes, strengthen internal controls, and drive automation across finance processes while collaborating with operations and external auditors.

Experience with digital assets or hedge funds is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial control, audit, or accounting, preferably at a credit hedge fund.
• Prior experience in digital assets or blockchain ecosystems is a distinct advantage.
• Proficiency in Xero and Enfusion portfolio management system.
• Excel + VBA / Python is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate IFRS and US GAAP financial statements, management accounts, and supporting reports.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including GL reconciliations and control reviews.
• Maintain oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead coordination with external auditors, ensuring timely delivery of audit requests and issue resolution.
• Support regulatory, tax, statutory and ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, reporting workflows, and operational controls.
• Leverage technology and automation to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Partner with operations to ensure integrity of financial data and reporting.
• Assist with implementation and optimisation of financial systems and reporting infrastructure.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
