Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Architecture / Target Operating Model Lead for a major finance transformation. This fully remote contract role focuses on translating strategic ambition into a practical future operating model, spanning organisation, process, governance and capabilities.

You will shape TOM design across Finance, work with senior stakeholders, and guide transition states and implementation roadmaps, leveraging AI and emerging tech where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business architecture and TOM design.
• Proven ability to design operating models in complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation and governance experience.
• Experience translating strategy into practical operating models.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the future TOM across Finance.
• Assess current operating environment to identify pain points and opportunities.
• Define future-state processes, structures, roles and responsibilities.
• Develop decision rights, governance and accountability frameworks.
• Map dependencies across functions and interfaces.
• Identify future capability and skills requirements.
• Apply business architecture and service-design principles.
• Consider AI and emerging tech to support the TOM.
• Facilitate senior stakeholder discussions and reconcile views.
• Develop pragmatic transition states and implementation roadmaps.
• Support TOM design through to implementation.
