Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner organisation, seeks an Evaluation Consultant based in the United Kingdom for remote, project-based assignments. You will lead evaluations from inception to final reporting, provide methodological guidance, and develop evidence-generation activities and capacity-building resources.

This role emphasizes independence, rigorous evaluation standards, and stakeholder collaboration across international development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in evaluations.
• Experience across strategy, policy, process, outcome, theory-based, realist, program and project evaluations.
• Ability to design evaluation methodologies and develop practical recommendations.
• Strong report writing and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation assignments from inception and design through implementation, analysis, and final reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for centralized and decentralized evaluations.
• Review terms of reference, inception reports and draft reports with recommendations to strengthen quality.
• Design evidence-generation activities, including rapid assessments, reviews, and syntheses.
• Develop capacity-building materials, practical tools, and guidance on theories of change and evaluation methods.
• Contribute to awareness and learning activities to strengthen organizational evaluation practices.
