Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Remote Service Engineer to diagnose and resolve charger issues remotely, support field teams, and improve service processes across EMEA and beyond. The role emphasizes evidence-based troubleshooting and clear communication to maintain high uptime of charging networks.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in service engineering for EV charging or similar software-enabled infra, strong electrical knowledge, and experience with remote monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a Service Engineer/Remote Service Engineer or similar role, preferably EV charging or software-enabled infra.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, charger architecture, service operations, maintenance, commissioning.
• Experience with Linux-based systems, charger software, connectivity and diagnostic tools is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to explain findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues on ABB E-mobility chargers using logs, data and cloud-connected systems.
• Provide remote support to customers, T1, field engineers, and suppliers as a technical expert.
• Assist local service orgs in EMEA and globally with tickets, commissioning, escalations.
• Prioritize cases, manage queues, document actions, and meet SLAs.
• Create knowledge articles, guides and training to improve first-time-fix and reduce repeats.
