Job summary

Celnor Group is seeking an Environmental Noise Consultant to join our growing environmental consultancy team. This remote role offers the chance to work across varied projects, delivering noise surveys, assessments and regulatory compliance for clients across commercial, industrial, residential and development sites.

You will plan monitoring campaigns, analyse data, build noise models and prepare clear technical reports while liaising with authorities and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental acoustics or noise consultancy.
• Experience in environmental noise monitoring and assessments.
• Good knowledge of UK noise standards and guidance (BS 4142, BS 8233).
• Experience analysing noise data and preparing technical reports.
• Knowledge of environmental noise modelling software is beneficial.
• IOA membership (or working toward) would be beneficial.
• The ability to explain technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake environmental noise surveys and assessments across sites.
• Plan and carry out attended and unattended noise monitoring.
• Complete environmental noise impact assessments per legislation and guidance.
• Analyse noise data and provide clear recommendations.
• Undertake noise modelling using acoustic software.
• Prepare high-quality reports for clients and planning submissions.
• Support assessments related to developments, operations, and noise sources.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, planners and professionals.
• Provide practical advice on noise mitigation and compliance.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to service development.
• Stay updated with changes in legislation and guidance.
• Support client development, proposals and quotations.
