Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead technical scope definition, deliverables, and design leadership for large-scale substations projects (> $100m) across offshore and onshore domains. The role requires coordinating across multiple units and countries, ensuring safe, high-quality engineering outcomes.

You will drive tender preparation, technical reviews, and collaboration with sales, procurement, and site teams, while traveling Europe up to 20%

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in power systems engineering, HV & MV substations, offshore experience.
Demonstrated experience acting as Technical Lead on large-scale tenders or projects.
Strong knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, BIM methodologies.
Effective collaborator in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
Proactive, result-oriented, capable of performing under pressure.

Responsibilities

Lead technical support for tendering and execution phases of customer projects.
Develop HV/MV/LV power supply system architecture and perform sizing calculations.
Serve as technical lead for engineering design across multi-country units and business teams.
Participate in project review meetings and technical assessments.
Ensure all technical documents, drawings, and deliverables meet quality and standards.
