Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Installation Manager to lead the safe and successful delivery of high‑voltage substation projects across the UK. You will oversee AIS and GIS installations from 132kV to 400kV, providing leadership, technical oversight, and governance across multiple projects while supporting site managers, supervisors and installation teams.

This role requires extensive HV experience, CDM/HSE knowledge, and strong planning and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience in installation activities within high-voltage substations.
Strong knowledge of AIS and GIS switchgear installation.
Experience delivering 132kV‑400kV projects.
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams across multiple projects.
Knowledge of CDM regulations, construction management, and HSE best practices.
Excellent programme planning and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and support Site Managers and Site Supervisors on multiple UK projects.
Provide technical oversight for AIS and GIS installations 132kV–400kV.
Support Project Managers with installation planning and resources.
Review scopes, programmes, and installation methodologies during tender and delivery.
Drive safety, quality, and project execution across all sites.
Monitor progress and address programme risks and delivery challenges.
Conduct regular site visits and safety observations.
