Job summary

Ravensearch is assisting an established M&E building services contractor in Manchester to appoint an Electrical Estimator. You will own electrical tenders from enquiry through to submission, pricing across multiple routes for a diverse client base.

Based in Manchester, you will develop detailed cost build-ups, source suppliers, and identify value engineering opportunities while collaborating with work-winning and commercial teams to ensure competitive, deliverable bids.

Qualifications

• Solid electrical estimating background within an M&E or electrical contracting environment.
• Ability to lead electrical tenders independently from enquiry through submission.
• Proficient take-off and measurement from drawings and specs.
• Experience of framework or negotiated tendering is advantageous.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract forms.
• Collaborative approach with commercial and operational teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electrical tenders from enquiry to submission.
• Carry out take-offs and measurements to produce cost build-ups.
• Price via competitive tender, framework, and negotiated routes.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors for pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and support buildability reviews.
• Price planned and reactive maintenance alongside capital projects.
• Collaborate with work-winning, commercial and operations teams for deliverable bids.
• Review contract terms and flag commercial risks pre-submission.
• Support post-tender negotiations and handover to delivery team.
