Job summary

BirdLife International is seeking a data-driven Individual Giving Officer to join the Development team. The role focuses on retaining supporters and growing the mid-value programme for donors giving £1,000–£10,000, with reporting to the Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager.

Based remotely in the UK with travel to the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge, the role is full-time (35 hours) open-ended, offering a salary of £30,000–£35,000 plus a 12% pension, and a 25-day annual leave

Qualifications

• Proven experience in individual giving, donor retention, or mid-value fundraising.
• Experience managing multi-channel campaigns (direct mail, email, digital, and telephone).
• Ability to analyse campaign and donor data to inform decisions and drive improvement.
• Confident managing a donor portfolio and delivering cultivation plans.
• Highly organised, evidence-based, results-focused self-starter.
• Proficient use of Raiser's Edge or a comparable fundraising CRM.

Responsibilities

• Lead the donor retention programme across cash giving and regular giving.
• Design journeys and stewardship communications to deepen engagement.
• Grow regular giving and convert cash givers to regular supporters.
• Analyse retention data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Communications to deliver multi-channel campaigns.
• Develop tailored communications and impact reports for mid-value donors.
• Set and monitor income targets for the mid-value programme.
