Job summary

BirdLife International in the UK is seeking a data-driven Individual Giving Officer to strengthen supporter retention and grow mid-value income, with a split focus on donor journeys and stewardship for £1,000–£10,000 gifts.

This open-ended, remote role offers 35 hours per week, a salary of £30,000–£35,000 per year plus a 12% pension, 25 days leave (rising to 28), and a hybrid model with travel to Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in individual giving, donor retention, or mid-value fundraising.
• Experience managing multi-channel campaigns (DM, email, digital, phone).
• Ability to analyse campaign and donor data to inform decisions.
• Confident managing a donor portfolio and delivering cultivation plans.
• Highly organised, evidence-based, results-focused self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Supporter Retention: lead retention programme across cash/regular giving, design journeys and optimise engagement.
• Mid-Value fundraising, stewardship and growth: lead mid-level donors (£1,000–£10,000) programme.
• Develop tailored communications, proposals, and impact reports for mid-value donors.
• Set and monitor income targets for the mid-value programme and report progress.
• Maintain donor records and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
