Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role is fully remote and pays £425/day Inside IR-35. You will support AWS-hosted platforms, use Terraform for IaC, and manage Docker-based apps across environments.

Join an established engineering team delivering on cloud, automation, and platform operations in a secure setting. Ideal candidates have a solid DevOps foundation, experience with CI/CD tooling and scripting, and a willingness to collaborate

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps foundation with cloud and automation exposure.
• Experience with AWS, IaC and CI/CD.
• Able to work in remote, long-term contracting.
• SC clearance or eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain AWS-hosted infrastructure and platform services.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support Docker-based applications across environments.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Monitor platform performance, availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and service issues.
• Support Linux and Windows-based systems.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and platform services.
• Contribute to automation and platform improvements.
• Collaborate with development and support teams to improve service delivery.
• May participate in on-call rota.
