Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Design Manager for highways and infrastructure projects. The role supports a major transport design initiative based in Scotland with remote work and occasional Manchester office visits.

Lead multidisciplinary teams, drive design reviews, and manage interfaces with stakeholders under NEC contracts. Chartered Engineer status and 10+ years in transport design are essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status with ICE or equivalent body.
• Extensive experience in transport infrastructure design environments.
• Strong leadership in design management and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across highways and infrastructure.
• Lead design reviews, assurance activities, and coordination meetings.
• Manage interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support delivery through programme, risk and change control.
• Review technical deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Provide leadership to design teams and manage NEC contracts.
