Job summary

The Diocese of Chichester invites an ordained leader to join the Apostolic Life Team as Deputy Diocesan Director for Apostolic Life. You will help shape ministerial formation, continuing development and mentoring for clergy, working with the Diocesan Director to implement the diocese-wide vision.

Responsibilities include creating a comprehensive CMD programme, delivering learning opportunities, and overseeing coaching networks while supporting MDR processes and grants.

Qualifications

• Ordained deacon or priest with a vocation to leadership development.
• Experience in teaching, training or adult education settings.
• Ability to design learning and development programmes for clergy.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Diocesan Director for Apostolic Life and lead the Apostolic Life Team.
• Develop and coordinate Continuing Ministerial Development for clergy.
• Design and deliver learning opportunities for theological reflection and vocational growth.
• Lead diocesan coaching and mentoring provision for clergy.
• Support MDR discussions and access to development opportunities.
• Oversee CMD grants and extended ministerial development leave.
• Line manage the MDR & CMD Administrator.
• Contribute to strategic diocesan priorities.
