Job summary

VIQU Limited is partnering with an NHS organisation to recruit a Test Analyst for a 3-month initial contract. The role requires independent assurance across data warehouse solutions, analytical models and reporting outputs, with testing across end-to-end analytics data lifecycle.

You will create and execute test plans, perform data validation, and support SIT/UAT while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure quality releases. Remote/Cardiff location options available.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Test Analyst, testing data warehouse, analytics or business intelligence solutions.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, views and functions.
• Hands-on experience testing SSIS packages, ETL processes and data transformations.
• Good understanding of data warehouse architectures and methodologies, including dimensional modelling concepts.
• Experience validating data quality, integrity, consistency and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
• Experience validating Power BI dashboards, reports, KPIs and semantic models.
• Ability to produce clear test documentation, defect reports and test evidence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts and regression packs for data warehouse, BI and analytics solutions.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across source systems, ETL processes, SQL Server data warehouses and Power BI outputs.
• Test SSIS packages, ETL workflows, stored procedures, database objects and data transformations.
• Validate business rules, calculations, KPIs, semantic model logic and Power BI reports against requirements.
• Manage defects through identification, logging, retesting and supporting root cause analysis.
• Support SIT, regression testing and UAT, collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure quality releases.
