Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join the Conversion Experiences team, focused on using data science, experimentation and product analytics to improve ecommerce experiences, user engagement and conversion across digital platforms.

You will work on innovative projects exploring consumer behavior, product performance and purchasing trends, using data-driven insights to inform product decisions and optimize user experiences. This is a UK remote contract role for 12 months.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in data science or product analytics.
• Strong experience in e-commerce, advertising platforms or major retail organizations.
• Practical expertise in advertising analytics and experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; ability to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and consumer behavior patterns.
• Design and evaluate experiments, including A/B tests, to measure the impact of product features and commercial initiatives.
• Develop hypotheses, conduct statistical analysis and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Assess conversion performance, purchasing trends and market opportunities within e-commerce environments.
• Use Python, SQL and internal analytical tools to support exploratory data analysis and experimentation.
• Collaborate with product engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to influence product strategy and business decisions.
• Provide data visualization, reporting and insights to support product optimization.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automated analytical frameworks to improve research and experimentation workflows.
