Job summary

Pulse Group is hiring a Data Scientist in Reading for a major Digital Transformation programme. You will build forecasting, segmentation and predictive models for the digital business, and design A/B tests to show commercial impact.

You will work with a modern data stack and collaborate with stakeholders to explain results in plain terms, shaping analysis behind a high-profile digital launch. Hybrid role (1 day per week in Reading).

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a data scientist, ideally in retail, ecommerce or another online business.
• Strong, hands-on Python and SQL (Spark or Databricks is a bonus).
• Curiosity about messy, new data and the people who use it.
• Someone humble, hungry and people-smart, who wants to learn and grow with a new team.

Location: Reading, hybrid (1 day a week)

I'm hiring a Data Scientist for a household-name fashion retailer that is building data science from the ground up as part of a major Digital Transformation programme.

The business is investing heavily in its digital channels, with a big new customer proposition on the way. A modern lakehouse platform and a newly formed data science team sit at the centre of that work. Much of the data is being used properly for the first time, so you'll be exploring it, finding its limits and turning it into models the business actually uses.

What you'll do:

• Build forecasting, segmentation, recommendation and predictive models for the digital business
• Design and analyse A/B tests that show the commercial impact of digital changes
• Work side by side with business stakeholders and explain results in plain terms
• Help shape the analysis behind a high-profile digital launch

What we're looking for:
