Job summary

LocalStack, the local cloud sandbox for developers and AI agents, is hiring a data platform lead to build and evolve a self-service data platform for Product, Engineering and GTM teams. You will own data quality, metrics definitions, and modelling standards, while setting up planning, delivery processes and AI-assisted tooling.

You will manage and grow the Data team, guiding quarterly OKRs and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on data experience across data engineering and analytics.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Snowflake and real-time analytics tools.
• Experience building reusable datasets and BI layers adopted by non-data teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a self-service data platform for Product, Engineering and GTM teams.
• Define data quality standards, SLAs/SLOs, monitoring and incident-response processes; manage data access and address potential PII exposure.
• Establish canonical data models, consistent metric definitions, and modelling standards across priority domains.
• Establish planning, delivery processes, documentation, and ways of working using AI tools.
• Own quarterly data OKRs and prioritize a balanced roadmap with business impact and efficiency gains.
• Directly manage and develop the Data team through regular one-to-ones, feedback, performance management, and hiring.
