Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data Analyst to join a team shaping workforce and policy decisions with advanced analytics. The role involves building Excel models, forecasting workforce outcomes, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

You will work remotely with one day per month in the Leeds office, collaborating with policy teams and external partners to drive evidence-based decisions while developing analytical methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• STEM degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or related field.
• Experience building complex Excel models and forecasting scenarios.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workforce, pay, and reward analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain complex Excel-based models to forecast workforce and financial outcomes.
• Develop cost modelling for pay proposals, policy changes, and workforce initiatives.
• Create scenario analysis and long-term forecasts with variables like growth, attrition and inflation.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate business questions into analytical specifications and modelling frameworks.
• Produce clear reports and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders.
