Job summary

The Weir Group PLC is seeking a Data & AI Governance Lead to design and operate enterprise-grade governance across the S4+ programme. This role ensures that data, analytics, and AI assets are trusted, compliant, and ready for scale.

Key responsibilities include owning governance delivery, embedding data quality and privacy controls, and partnering with architects for governance support.

Ideal candidates should have strong knowledge in data governance practices and experience in delivering governance in large programmes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data governance and management.
• Understanding of privacy, security, regulatory, and AI risk obligations.
• Skills in translating policy into executable controls.
• Experience in delivering data and AI governance in large programmes.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of Data & AI governance across the S4+ programme.
• Embed ownership, stewardship, data quality, and Responsible AI controls by design.
• Partner with the Transformation Data & AI Architect for governance support.
• Track and report on data & AI risk and compliance.
• Ensure governance artefacts are BAU-ready post go-live.
