Job summary

Ormiston Families, via YOUnited, offers a remote Children and Young People’s Mental Health Practitioner role for 12 months. You will support children, young people and families by providing initial mental health contacts and assessments, using a single-session thinking approach.

The post is full-time based on 35 hours/week with a starting salary of £28,294 per annum. The role requires a qualification in children's mental health and prior experience with families, and is remote with DBS

Qualifications

• Qualification in children's mental health is required.
• Experience with children, young people and parents is desirable.
• Remote contact skills via phone/video are used in this role.
• Single-session thinking approach is part of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful first contacts with children, young people and/or parents.
• Work flexibly to support the YOUnited service.
• Conduct mental health assessments and provide guidance in line with training.

Children’s mental health qualification (CWP / EMHP / Counsellor / MHN)
