Job summary

Addepar is seeking a Software Engineer - Customer Facing Applied AI to join its remote team in the United Kingdom. You will build agentic AI systems from idea to production, integrate LLMs, and work closely with clients to ensure production-grade results.

You will prototype, test, and iterate with a focus on reliability, cost, and performance, collaborating with engineers to ship features that scale across customers.

Qualifications

• Professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python.
• Experience with LLM APIs (Claude, GPT, or similar).
• Strong SQL for data exploration.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex).
• BS/MS in CS or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered agents and tools end-to-end for client projects.
• Design and implement LLM integrations including prompt engineering and function calling.
• Define evaluation criteria and create test harnesses for AI systems.
• Work directly with clients to understand workflows and validate AI behavior.
• Collaborate with core engineering to generalize client work into product features.
• Contribute to shared AI infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor production AI systems for reliability, cost, and performance.
