Job summary

Sammons Group is seeking a Senior Contractor for a hands‑on role in pensions administration systems development. You will integrate third‑party engines, build XML interfaces, and enhance posting routines within a Defined Benefit context.

The position requires autonomy, strong GMP knowledge, and the ability to deliver across complex pension calculations. Remote and hybrid UK locations are supported, with a focus on delivering high‑quality technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven development experience with OpenPen and/or IntelliPen.
• Strong XML/XSLT/SQL Server skills including Stored Procedures.
• Solid Defined Benefit pensions knowledge.
• Understanding of GMPE and pension calculations.
• Experience delivering complex systems integrations and enhancements.
• Able to work autonomously and contribute from day one.

Responsibilities

• Integrate a third‑party calculation engine with OpenPen and/or IntelliPen.
• Develop XML interfaces and XSLT transformations.
• Enhance calculation posting routines and administration functionality.
• Modify screens and user interfaces to support new calculation outputs.
• Work closely with business users, technical teams and external suppliers.
• Support testing, implementation and technical documentation.
