Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking an IRM Contract Manager to own complex waste contracts and deliver smarter, safer waste solutions. You will manage site-based services, ensure contract compliance, and drive continuous improvement to meet EBIT targets and safety standards.

The role covers the Northwest region and can be done from home, reporting to the Regional General Manager/Business Manager. It is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover within our Specialist Services Division, delivering tailored

Qualifications

• Knowledge of waste management with prior account management experience and strong operational focus (must have).
• Understanding of lean methodology and ability to work to defined KPIs.
• Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement in an operational/service environment.
• Full, current UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for client stakeholders, ensuring contract compliance and service delivery.
• Drive account growth through commercial performance improvements and upselling services.
• Produce monthly reports and manage portal data across multi-site clients.
