Job summary

The Maples Group is seeking a Conflicts Analyst in Leeds to support the Global Business Acceptance Team. The role involves onboarding new legal business and preventing conflicts of interest while working remotely from 14:00 to 22:30.

You will liaise with fee earners, perform searches, and escalate complex issues as needed. Desirable candidates will have 1+ year conflicts experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with discretion.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in legal services or professional services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Validate information for new work by liaising with fee earners to clarify details.
• Undertake database searches and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Review complex search results to identify conflicts of interest or risk.
• Communicate potential conflicts to fee earners across practice areas.
• Escalate complex conflicts to the Conflicts Manager for discussion.
• Conduct additional research using internal and external resources.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining information barriers.
• Develop knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to Global Business Acceptance.
• Support continual education on conflicts processes within the firm.
• Handle ad hoc projects related to New Business Acceptance and conflicts.
