Job summary

Devon Council is seeking an enthusiastic Community Occupational Therapist to join a busy, well-structured team in Devon. The role offers a full-time contract with the option to work from home and a manageable caseload.

You will assess service users in home environments, recommend equipment and home adaptations, and support safeguarding and dignity in care. HCPC registration and DBS enhanced are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an OT in the community.
• Manual handling experience.
• HCPC Registration.
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assess service users and carers with complex needs in home environment.
• Provide expert advice, and assessments for equipment and home modifications.
• Adaptations, moving and handling assessments and reducing or minimising the need for care packages.
• Safeguarding and maintaining dignity and respect in care planning.
