Job summary

Glaucoma UK is seeking a Communications & PR Officer (maternity cover) to work with the Head of Communications and a specialist public affairs agency. Remote UK with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent. Salary £34,077 per annum.

Contract: 12 months fixed-term starting December 2026. You will help bring survey findings to life, develop stories across print, digital and broadcast, and secure national media coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong media instincts and storytelling ability.
• Experience creating content across print, digital and broadcast.
• Ability to identify opportunities for national media coverage.

Responsibilities

• Help secure media attention and inform decision-makers.
• Develop engaging content for our magazine, website, email and social media.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with people willing to share their glaucoma experiences.
• Identify opportunities for national coverage and strengthen Glaucoma UK's voice.
