Job summary

Thermatic Technical FM is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing team of service engineers. You will work across a large number of commercial clients in the North West, delivering planned and reactive maintenance while covering a 40-hour week and participating in a 24-hour on-call rota.

The role requires Gas Safe qualifications for commercial/industrial equipment, Oil Fired Heater (oftec) and LPG certifications, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe qualified across all commercial and industrial equipment and installations (CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, COMCAT1-5)
• Oil Fired Heater (oftec) certification
• LPG certification
• Working knowledge of Building Regulations
• Building Environmental and Electrical Services knowledge
• Health & Safety compliance understanding
• Basic plumbing and building material knowledge
• Asbestos Awareness
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Undertaking gas installation, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance for gas and oil heating systems
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance per PPM schedules
• Provide accurate timesheet information
• Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required
• Support team members as second-man when needed
• Participate in 24-hour on-call rota
• Attend client premises to meet SLAs and maintain client relationships
• Assist with quotations and sourcing supplier quotes for extra works
• Prepare technical and situational reports as required
• Escalate major site issues through proper channels
